Job Description

We are looking for Ruby on Rails Lead developers to join our Middle Office Technical team at Chennai. We are implementing a state of the art Middle Office Outsourcing product for global clients of Bank of New York Mellon. The role requires the individual to possess strong Ruby on Rails 4.x+ and Database skills with preferable experience in financial services domain. The individual will be part of the Technical team developing and implementing Cloud native, micro-services for Middle Office Outsourcing product. The individual should be highly committed, self-driven, with a growth mindset and passion to constantly learn and improve. The team is small, focused and working in a start-up mode as a completely flat organization. Everyone including managers, code in this team. All development activities follow the agile process with 2 week Sprints and Production move at the end of every Sprint. Innovative, leading edge Development and Devops practices like Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development, Continuous Integration / Deployment, Working out Loud are adopted. Technical Skills: Ruby on Rails 4.x+ Database, preferably PostgreSQL Cucumber, RSpec Micro services architecture, REST APIs Understanding of Cloud and Cloud Deployments Experience in development of scalable / high performing services Experience working within Agile development teams The ideal candidate will also have the following skills and experience: Git, JIRA, Confluence, Rubymine, Teamcity Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Development Continuous Integration / Deployment Understanding of Linux command line Domain Skills: Trade and its Settlement Process
